Narayanan Ramesh, MD

Narayanan Ramesh is a graduate of the University of Maryland / Sheppard Pratt residency program and a board certified psychiatrist. He has significant experience in outpatient, hospital, and nursing home environments. He is currently the Medical Director at Psychogeriatric Services and served as Chairman of the Department of Psychiatry at Montgomery General Hospital. Dr. Ramesh runs the Suboxone treatment program in Gaithersburg and is a certified psychopharmacologist. He has special interest in Neuropsychiatry and Psychosomatic medicine.  Dr Ramesh sees clients at both the Gaithersburg and Silver Spring locations.

Samina Yousufi is a board certified psychiatrist. She has a fellowship in Psychosomatic medicine. She has extensive experience working with women and has worked in hospital, nursing home and outpatient settings.  Dr Yousufi sees clients at our Gaithersburg and Frederick locations.


Craig Boatman, PsyD

Dr. Boatman is a Maryland Licensed Psychologist and has thirty years of professional experience serving in the capacity of clinician, supervisor, instructor, consultant, and manager.  He employs an integrative approach to treatment and his areas of professional specialization include: short-term solution-focused therapy; family therapy; anger management; and multiculturalism.  Dr. Boatman sees clients at our Silver Spring location.


Sumati Holman, LCSW-C

Sumi Holman received her Master's degree in Social Work from Smith College.  She has experience working in outpatient, inpatient, and school settings as well as crisis centers.  She has worked with children, adolescents, families, and adults.  Ms. Holman sees clients at our Gaithersburg and Frederick locations.

Christine Jackson, LCSW-C

Christine Jackson is a Certified Licensed Clinical Social Worker.  She has been providing psychotherapy for ten years.  Ms. Jackson obtained her Master's of Social Work degree at the Catholic University of America and has received several years of additional training at the Washington School of Psychiatry  She has significant experience working with seniors as well as a particular interest in working with adults with eating disorders and chronic illness.  Ms. Jackson sees clients at our Gaithersburg location.

Nadine Lavender-Petersen, LCSW-C

Nadine Lavender-Petersen has been a practicing psychotherapist for 28 years. She is a graduate of the Catholic University of America and holds several advanced certificates from the Washington School of Psychiatry. She specializes in individual insight-oriented psychotherapy and particularly enjoys couples work. Her skills also include family treatment and work with more difficult populations. Ms. Lavender-Petersen sees patients in our Silver Spring location.

Alexia Luka, LCSW-C

Alexia Luka holds a Master's Degree in Social Work from the University of Pennsylvania.  Ms. Luka has a broad array of clinical experiences both nationally and internationally.  She specializes in substance abuse counseling and dual diagnoses.  Ms. Luka sees clients at our Gaithersburg location.

Emebet Negash, PA-C

Emebet Negash received her Certificate of Physician Assistant Studies from Howard University.  She is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants and is a nationally Certified Pharmacy Technician.  She has worked in inpatient and outpatient mental health settings as well as in family and internal medicine practices.  Ms. Negash sees patients in our Silver Spring location.

Deborah Pearce, CRNP-PMH

Deborah Pearce is a Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner with a Family Mental Health Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner specialty.  She has over twenty years of nursing experience in hospital, medical center, and psychiatric settings working with adolescent, adult, and geriatric clients.  Ms. Pearce sees clients in our Frederick location.

Constance Rojas-Macy, LCSW-C

Constance Rojas-Macy holds a Master's Degree in Social Work with a Clinical Specialization from University of Maryland in Baltimore.  She has been a practicing psychotherapist for 17  years as well as working with patients in a hospital setting for several years.  She has a special interest in cultural issues, women's issues, relationships, and major life transitions.  Her volunteer experience includes working on the Prince George's County Crisis Hotline; spending a summer on Pine Ridge Indian Reservation in South Dakota with adolescents and adults; and working at a non-profit shop that supports mental health services.  Ms. Rojas-Macy sees clients at our Gaithersburg location.

Karin Senft, LCSW-C

Karin Senft holds a Master's Degree in Social Work from University of Maryland, Baltimore with a Clinical Concentration and Specialization in Families and Children.  She has experience working with children, adolescents, families, and adults in school and outpatient settings.  She enjoys working individually with clients, with couples, and within group settings.  Ms. Senft sees clients at our Gaithersburg and Silver Spring locations.

James E. Skinner, LCSW-C

James Skinner received his Master's degree in Social Work from West Virginia University and Bachelor's degrees from Johns Hopkins University in Nursing and Pennsylvania State University in Psychology.  He has extensive experience in community-based, private, and government contract related work with expertise in substance abuse treatment mental health counseling, and cultural competence.  He has worked with children, families, and adults.  Ms. Skinner sees clients at our Gaithersburg and Silver Spring locations.

Maxine Smolkin, LCSW-C

Maxine Smolkin holds a Master's Degree in Social Work from New York University and obtained her Bachelor of Social Work at the University of Victoria in British Columbia, Canada.  Additionally, she has completed a certificate program in addiction studies.  Maxine has been a therapist with families, adults, and adolescents for 4 years.  Previously, she was a social worker and case manager for over a decade, primarily at agencies assisting dually diagnosed, seriously and persistently mentally ill clients.  Some of Maxine's clinical interests include the treatment of bipolar spectrum disorders, harm reduction, and cognitive behavioral therapy.  Ms. Smolkin sees clients at our Gaithersburg and Frederick locations.
